The Western Skyline Podcast – 16 December 2017

This is the podcast of my last broadcast of 2017 – a special show with Christmas readings, traditional carols, and music.

It was lovely to be broadcasting live with the Christmas Market in full swing next door to the studio in Kinvara’s community centre.

Here’s to more broadcasts in 2018 and to being back on air, as well as online, when we get our next license!

“Christmas on The Western Skyline! Today’s show is a bit of calm in the ‘getting ready’ madness. Turn off the phone, sit by the fire, take it easy for an hour of Christmas themed readings, carols, and music. And a poem by Seamus Heaney. There’s also info on pantos, children’s books, and we also play some requests.
HAPPY CHRISTMAS from The Western Skyline, and thanks for listening.
I hope Santa is good to everyone!”

Today was spent with the radioheads at Wild Atlantic Waves Radio – in The Square in Gort – doing an outside broadcast.

The craic was mighty – and here is a link to the blog about it on the WAWR website:

A wonderful day – plus a fabarooney post-show lunch at the Gallery Café on the other side of the Square.

Thanks guys! So glad I got to do this course and hang out with all of you.
